Carolina Pottery is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to our team as a Maintenance Associate. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, bathrooms, break room and public areas. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning restrooms (carry out trash, clean and flush toilets, add paper product)
• Remove trash bags from large trash cans in store
• Mop entire sales floor as instructed by management
• Clean and mop break room
• Office area trash emptied daily and carpet vacuumed (if applicable)
• Inform management immediately of any plumbing or electrical issues
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years janitorial/housekeeping experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Flexible hours
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
